Sometimes the movie industry creates something so beautiful that gives inspiration to a whole series of ideas. For example, my new interior color scheme was inspired by Pandora night landscape.
Dark blue and burgundy colors are softened by the honey tinted wood floor and accentuated by a fabulous suspended lights by Catellani&Smith that remind a fool moon on a cloudless summer sky.
Common space is organised in two areas, each having access to the vast balcony, Poliform Concord dining table and Catellani&Smith PostKristi lamps being the center piece of the kitchen area. Balcony is transformed into a winter garden with a cozy table to have a morning cup of coffee while gazing outside. Guest bathroom is located next to the entrance and uses the same color scheme as the rest of the common space. Real treasure here is the 41xero42 tile that gives depth to the space.
A common problem for a lot of projects are long narrow corridors. Painting the walls in contrast colors and using vertical decor could be a great solution. Deep blue continues from the corridor into the entrance hall making the bathrooms look like a smaller blue object placed into a larger warm grey room. I used vertical wooden beams letting in the natural sunlight to divide the entrance hall from the living room.
Master bathroom uses a lighter color scheme than the rest of the space, continuing, however the theme of contrast by using black details on white marble. Lavish floral wallpaper accompanied by vertical wall panels give the bedroom modern yet boudoir look.
My client warned me to stop her every time she would ask for something beige or neutral and it led us to this colorful and juicy space yet very easy on the eyes.
